I've been raving about this book for a while now.
Frankly, if you try one new title this April, give S.H.I.E.L.D. a go. This is a wonderful look at the secret history of the Earth of the Marvel Universe as we discover that Nick Fury, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Reed Richards, etc. have only been saving the Earth in the 20th and 21st Centuries. The threats to the human race date back to ancient history and brave men and women have always stepped up to turn back the darkness.
Imohtep, Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo and even parents of the modern heroes in the form of Nathaniel Richards and Howard Stark. All have answered the call. In this book, you'll see the Brood being driven off by ancient Egyptians and Galactus in 16th Century Rome.
